About Gabon
Gabon is an equatorial country on the Atlantic coast of Central Africa, with Libreville as its capital and largest city. Nearly ninety percent of its land is forest, making it a haven for forest elephants and gorillas. Oil and manganese dominate the economy, and the Bongo family ruled for 55 years until the coup of 2023.
