About Yemen

Yemen occupies the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula, with Sanaa as its constitutional capital and Socotra lying far offshore. Ancient Saba built the Great Dam of Marib, and for centuries the country was a primary coffee producer shipping through Mocha. North and South united in 1990, and war since 2015 has driven a severe humanitarian crisis.
