About Bahrain
Bahrain is a small island kingdom in the Persian Gulf, joined to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway. Once the Bronze Age land of Dilmun and famed for the finest pearls in the world, it was the first place on the Arabian side of the Gulf where oil was found. It now hosts the American Fifth Fleet and the first Arab Formula One race.
