About Tunisia

Tunisia occupies the Maghreb coast of North Africa between Algeria and Libya. Its capital Tunis gives the country its name, and nearby Carthage grew from a Phoenician settlement into a rival of Rome. The protest of street vendor Mohamed Bouazizi in December 2010 set off a revolution that inspired the Arab Spring.
