About Grenada
Grenada is a Caribbean country in the Windward Islands, made up of the main island plus Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Known as the Island of Spice, it exports nutmeg, which appears on its national flag. Independence came in 1974, and a Marxist coup and the killing of Maurice Bishop led to a United States led invasion in 1983.
