About Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina sits on the Balkan Peninsula with only about 20 kilometres of Adriatic coast at Neum. Its capital Sarajevo hosted the 1984 Winter Olympics and was the scene of the 1914 assassination that sparked World War I. Since the Dayton Agreement of 1995 the country has been divided into two entities, and it became an EU candidate in 2022.
