About Namibia

Around 2.6 million people live in an area larger than France and the United Kingdom together. The Namib is thought to be the oldest desert on Earth, and the dunes at Sossusvlei reach over 300 metres. The Caprivi Strip was drawn in 1890 so that German South West Africa could reach the Zambezi.
