About Bangladesh
Bangladesh occupies most of the Ganges Delta, the largest river delta in the world, and holds most of the Sundarbans mangrove forest. It became a sovereign nation on 16 December 1971 after a nine-month liberation war against Pakistan. Today it is the eighth-most populous country and the world's second-leading garments exporter.
